  • Straws
  • 25ml/50ml Measure

Ingredients

  • ½ Lime cut into small wedges
  • 8-10 Fresh mint leaves
  • ½ - 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp Freshly squeezed orange juice
  • ½-1 tbsp Club soda
  • Few Ice cubes
  • Orange slices and mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Muddle the lime wedges, and mint leaves with the sugar in a highball glass.
  • Add ice to the glass, followed by orange juice.
  • Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  • Add club soda on top and mix gently.
  • Garnish with orange slices and mint leaves.

Notes

  • To make simple syrup, heat equal parts of sugar and water in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool before using.
  • For a better taste, use freshly squeezed orange juice. Avoid store-bought orange juice, as it may contain added sugars and preservatives.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar and club soda to your liking. If you prefer a sweeter cocktail, add more sweet syrup. If you prefer a lighter cocktail, add more club soda.
  • To make a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and increase the amount of orange juice and club soda.
