Equipment

  • Milk Frother
  • Coffee Mugs
  • Medium-Sized Saucepan

Ingredients

  • 4 Cups Of Steamed Milk Of Your Choice
  • 4 Chocolate Truffles
  • 8 Shots Of Espresso Freshly Brewed
  • Cacao Powder

Instructions

  • Take your coffee mugs and add the chocolate truffles.
  • Next, brew 8 shots of espresso and pour it equally over the chocolate truffles in each coffee mug.
  • Whisk the chocolate truffle smoothly into the added espresso so that the chocolate truffle is melted properly and mixed with the coffee.
  • Take a medium-sized saucepan and add the milk. Heat it over low to medium heat and let it simmer for some time. Do not let it boil.
  • Add the steamed milk into the coffee mugs over the chocolate and espresso mixture.
  • Garnish it with cacao powder.
  • And your Chocolate Latte is ready to be enjoyed!

Notes

  • If you want, you can even top it with whipped cream and garnish it with chocolate chips, crushed chocolates, caramel, etc.
  • If you want your Chocolate Latte to have that frothy and light fluffy texture, then you must use a milk steamer.
  • If you prefer a cold chocolate latte, then just follow the above-mentioned steps of brewing the espresso over the chocolate truffle and then add cold milk. Add a few ice cubes and enjoy.
  • To convert it into a vegan recipe, simply use your favourite plant-based milk and vegan chocolate.
  • Make sure you use 60 to 70 per cent dark chocolate to give it that strong flavour. Also, remember that the harder it will become to melt it easily. However, using 60 to 70 per cent dark chocolate in your latte gives you different health benefits, and is easier to melt when compared to super dark chocolate.
  • If you don't prefer using dark chocolate, you can use milk chocolate instead.
  • Brew the espresso and add it directly on top of the chocolate truffle so that it begins to melt quickly. This way it becomes easier to mix everything.
  • You can make use of a fork to mix the espresso and the chocolate evenly.
