Ingredients

  • 8 Cups Of Water
  • 2 tsp Of Cumin Seeds
  • 2 tsp Of Coriander Seeds
  • 2 tsp Of Fennel Seeds

Instructions

  • In a large saucepan, add water and bring it to a boil over medium to high heat.
  • Add the cumin, coriander, and fennel seeds into the water and then let it simmer on low to medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat, and using a tea strainer, strain out all the seeds.
  • Ayurvedic tea is ready to be served hot!

Notes

  • Do not let the seeds steep for more than 10 minutes, as it would get too much bitter.
  • During the winter season, if you are making this ayurvedic tea, then you can also add 1 or 2 slices of ginger along with 1 tbsp of lemon juice.
  • When making it in the summer days, after letting the tea cool down, you can garnish it with fresh mint leaves. If you prefer, you can add a few ice cubes.
