Large Saucepan
Serving Cups
- 8 Green Tea Bags
- 1/2 Cup Of Agave Nectar
- 4 Cups Of Pineapple Chunks
- 2 tbsp Of Chopped Ginger
- Few Ice Cubes
- Few Mint Leaves
- Pineapple Wedges For Garnishing
Take a large saucepan, add water, and let it boil over medium to high heat.
Add the freshly cut pineapple chunks & chopped ginger and let it boil for a few minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the green tea bags. Let it steep for about 4 to 5 minutes, and then remove the tea bags.
Next, add the agave nectar or any sweetener of your choice into the saucepan and stir well.
Let it cool down for some time and keep it in the refrigerator for 20 to 25 minutes.
In the serving glasses, add a few ice cubes and pour the chilled pineapple tea over them.
Garnish it with fresh mint leaves and pineapple wedges. And it's ready to be served!
- If agave nectar is not available, you can replace it with honey, white sugar, or even stevia.
- Make sure not to let the green tea bags steep for a really long time, as this will make the taste bitter.
- I have used green tea bags here to make them healthier. However, you can even use black tea or white tea according to your taste preferences.
- You can also add tiny chunks of fresh pineapples to the pineapple tea while serving.
- You can also add a splash of lemon juice into each glass for that extra zesty flavour.
- To serve hot, just prepare the tea, add it to the serving glasses & garnish it with mint leaves & pineapple wedges. Skip chilling it in the refrigerator & adding ice cubes!
