Turkish hotels’ famous buffets, especially the huge Serpme Kahvalti breakfasts, might face new rules to cut food waste. Supporters say it’s necessary, critics say it could hurt tourism.
Should buffets be limited to reduce waste, or stay the same for tourists?

Honestly, ending buffets feels like shooting tourism in the foot. Food waste can be managed with better planning instead of eliminating one of the main attractions of Turkish resorts.

Food waste is a global issue, and massive buffets do contribute a lot. I think tourists will adjust if it means being more eco-conscious. Experience can still be great without waste.
