Is Kashmiri Saffron Really the Best in the World?

Many say Kashmiri saffron is superior because of its deep red color and strong aroma. Do you agree, or do you think Iranian or Spanish saffron competes well?

I tried Kashmiri saffron when a Indian friend brought some back from Srinagar, and honestly, the fragrance filled the whole kitchen. Iranian saffron is good too, but Kashmir’s feels richer to me.

For me, Kashmiri saffron wins on aroma. Even just a few strands in warm milk change the whole taste. Spanish saffron is great for paella, though, so I think each works best in its own cuisine.
