Notes

  • Take out the ice cream from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature to soften for about 10 to 15 minutes. It’s easier to blend ice cream that is softened.
  • I have used vanilla ice cream in this recipe. However, you can even use chocolate, butterscotch, or any other ice cream that you prefer.
  • If you prefer an intense vanilla flavour, you can add 1 or 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
  • Pour some chocolate or peanut butter sauce into the milkshake glasses and keep them in the refrigerator for up to 15 – 20 minutes before preparing the milkshake.
  • If you prefer a thicker peanut butter milkshake, add more scoops of ice cream or peanut butter. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add some extra milk.
  • To make this vegan, you can use plant-based ice cream and milk.
  • I prefer using crunchy peanut butter but if you prefer a more creamier texture, then use creamy peanut butter.

Shelf Life

It’s best to drink a peanut butter milkshake or any type of milkshake immediately after it is prepared. This is so because after storing the milkshake, it slowly starts to become less thick & frosty and also the flavours are not that strong.

However, if you want to store it in an airtight container and keep it in the freezer. It will stay good for up to 24 hours. Don’t forget to blend it again before serving.

Conclusion

So, what can be better than treating yourself with a creamy, nutty and buttery drink? This peanut butter milkshake allows you to enjoy the heavenly mix of flavours in just one glass! It looks beautiful, it tastes delightful and it’s super satisfying in the scorching heat!
